Soundz.fm was an app that let you listen, track and save your favorite songs from radios you liked to listen to. It was the first application project I was overseeing as a designer.
Soundz.fm started off as a simple scratch of our own itch. Radio stations in Slovakia started charging for information about the currently playing song (via sms) so we built a simple site that queried the radios for this information.
We have soon realized that it probably wouldn't be that difficult to implement playback into the site so we hacked away and a few months later, soundz.fm wasn't silent anymore.
We found ourselves checking soundz.fm from our phones often, and developing an iPhone player was a logical next step. For me it was a good way to dwelve into iOS development.
Soundz.fm is no longer online. You can read more about the project at the Bonetics page
