Curriculum Vitae

I’m a product designer based in New York, originally from Slovakia. Currently, I serve as the Director of Product Design at Personio, a company that builds HR software. Before that, I led design at startups like Config and Prisma, following my time at Facebook. Originally trained as an industrial designer with a focus on transportation design.

2023

Joined Personio’s Design Architecture team, driving high-impact and company-wide initiatives. Personio is Europe’s leading HR platform.

2021

My daughter was born.

2021

Started at Config as the sole designer. Config is a tool that streamlines hardware development, focusing on consumer electronics at the intersection of electrical, mechanical, and firmware engineering.

2020

Joined Prisma to lead a small product design team. Prisma is one of the most accessible and widely used tools for working with databases in web development.

2019

Left Facebook and took a nine-month sabbatical to focus on home renovation and personal projects.

2018

Moved from Palo Alto to New York.

2017

My wife and I welcomed our son.

2013

The Storylane team was acqui-hired by Facebook. There, I initially worked on Profile and related projects before transitioning to the Marketplace team, working on the first version of Facebook Marketplace. Later, I joined the Design Tools team, owning Origami Studio and eventually leading the team and developing multiple internal design and collaboration tools.

2012

Moved from Slovakia to Palo Alto to join Storylane. It was a fun product exploring identity through storytelling. We’ve arrived at it after pivoting from a professional reputation network.

2010

Graduated with a degree in Transportation Design from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, Slovakia. During this period, I worked on various client projects, and a couple of apps that you could call proto-startups.

The idea to include collaborators is very obviously lifted straight from read.cv, an awesome site that is ending its run soon. Thanks Andy!
